Memorial Opportunities at the Field of Remembrance
We are sometimes asked if we can offer the ability to provide a memorial to remember loved ones at the Field of Remembrance. We offer the following options for memorials:
1. We have found a company who offer Memorial benches (see images below) - these are made from steel and come with a 25 year guarantee - so you can be sure your memorial will stand the test of time. The prices start at about £1250 inclusive of delivery and installation and a personalised plaque.
2. If you would like to either provide your own bench, or have a plaque sponsoring a tree at the Field of Remembrance, we would ask that you email us first to help maintain a consistent and respectful appearance across the field. We are also keen to ensure that any benches are properly installed, treated and cared for so that they stand the test of time. Options start at about £500 and include 3 seater teak wooden benches or benches made from recycled plastic, which are maintenance-free (images below.) Sites offering free delivery are suggested here and you would need to organise a plaque separately: Teak Bench ; Recycled Plastic Bench.
Please be aware that all decisions on the location and suitability of a memorial bench remains with the WFoR and the responsibility for the upkeep/maintenance of a memorial bench remains with the donor rather than the WFoR.
